Facilitator

Answering “What Now?”

Linda’s speaking addresses a challenge we all face: answering “What now?” Sometimes it comes from a world changing faster than we can keep up. Other times it arrives personally—unexpected, unwanted or undeserved—and changes life as we knew it.

A Range of Audiences & Settings

Linda speaks at business, association, and nonprofit events across the U.S. and internationally. Her speaking includes keynotes, presentations, workshops and interactive programs tailored to audience and setting.

Author & Writer

From Speaking to Writing

Both of Linda's books began with conversations with her speaking audiences. Blind Curves grew from audiences wanting more of her story about moving forward when traditional advice fails. Cancer InsideOut grew from questions about how family, friends, and coworkers can best support someone with cancer and gives voice to what people with cancer wish others understood.

Articles & Essays

Shorter pieces give Linda another way to explore topics more deeply. Her writing appears on her website, social media, and in other publications. Recent topics have included “Rebellion Is Expected from Teenagers, but What About Adults?,” “Why People Ghost Friends with Cancer,” and “Why Is ‘How Are You?’ Sometimes the Hardest Question to Answer?”

Cancer Insider—
And Outsider

Cancer—An Additional Detour

As a three-time cancer survivor and caregiver to her husband with terminal cancer, Linda has lived on both sides of cancer—experiences that changed how she viewed and lived life.

Giving Voice to the Insider Experience

Through speaking at cancer events and participating in cancer organizations and support groups, Linda recognized experiences people with cancer shared but often had difficulty putting into words. She writes and speaks about these experiences and gives family, friends, and coworkers ways to offer meaningful support. Her cancer speaking includes keynotes, speeches, and workshops, including the Breast Cancer Wellness magazine’s Thrivers Cruise and medical center cancer events.

The Business Woman

A Career without a Straight Line

Linda's professional life has never followed a straight line. She moved from nonprofit management to the corporate world, where she became a vice president at Citigroup's New York headquarters. Through her company, Opus Development, she spent decades developing and facilitating change initiatives for Fortune 100 companies, federal government agencies, associations and nonprofits throughout the United States and internationally.

Living Through Change

The changes that Linda helped organizations navigate became the foundation for her speaking and writing about a universal question: When the familiar path no longer fits, what now?

Media Conversations

Linda's experiences, stories and perspectives have made her a resource for media conversations about navigating change, challenging conventional thinking, cancer, caregiving and the unexpected turns of life.

Appearances and features include:

  • Television: NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX

  • Radio & Podcasts: NPR and other national and regional programs

  • Print & Digital: magazines, newspapers, articles and online features

  • Social Media Guest: interviews, conversations and guest appearances

Adventure Queen

Linda's appetite for adventure hasn't stopped. At 57, she learned to ride a motorcycle, downhill ski and scuba dive. Since then, her explorations have ranged from trapeze flying to more recent passions—kayaking and cultivating an ever-growing succulent garden.

Some adventures became stories. One became a book. Others were simply fun. Linda still enjoys trying something unfamiliar, following her curiosity and occasionally discovering that the things she was certain she'd never do can be the most interesting ones to try.

Recognition for leadership, resilience, writing and inspiring others.
